Privacy Policy

On this page

This Privacy Policy explains what information Vastus Legacy Strategies (“Vastus,” “we,” “us” or “our”) collects through vastuslegacyproperties.com, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We sell digital books and send email, so the information we hold is modest: mostly your name, your email address and a record of what you bought.

At a glance

  • We do not sell or rent your personal information.
  • We never see or store your full card number. Payments are handled by a payment processor.
  • We use your email address to deliver what you asked for and, if you opted in, to send occasional emails.
  • You can unsubscribe at any time, and you can ask us to delete your information.
  • We use cookies and analytics to understand how the site is used.
01

Scope

This policy covers information collected when you visit the Website, request the free e-book, buy a book, or contact us. It does not cover other websites we link to, which have their own policies.

02

Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Your email address, when you request the free e-book or buy a book.
  • Your name and billing details, when you buy. Billing details go to our payment processor, not to us.
  • Anything you write to us in an email or contact form.
  • A review or testimonial, if you choose to send one, along with any name or photo you ask us to publish with it.

Information we receive from our payment processor

  • Confirmation that a payment succeeded or failed, the amount, the product bought, and the date.
  • The last four digits and card type, for matching a payment to an order.
  • The country or region associated with the payment, for tax purposes.

Information collected automatically

  • IP address, browser type, device type and operating system.
  • Pages viewed, time on page, and the site or advertisement that referred you.
  • Whether an email we sent was opened and whether its links were clicked.
  • Information collected through cookies and similar technologies, described below.
03

How we use information

We use this information to:

  • Deliver the book you bought or requested, and re-send it if a download fails.
  • Process payments, issue receipts and handle refunds.
  • Answer your questions and provide support.
  • Send the free seven-day email sequence you signed up for.
  • Send occasional emails about new books, updates and offers, if you have not opted out.
  • Understand which pages and ads work so we can improve the site.
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse of refunds, and unauthorised sharing of our books.
  • Meet our tax, accounting and legal obligations.
04

Cookies and analytics

The Website uses cookies and similar technologies to keep it working, remember your preferences, measure traffic and understand which pages lead to a purchase. Analytics and advertising providers may set cookies on our behalf and may use them to show you our ads on other sites.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and most browsers let you refuse third-party cookies specifically. Parts of the site may not work as intended if you do.

05

How we share information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only in these situations:

  • Service providers that help us operate: our payment processor, email and marketing platform, website host, file delivery and analytics providers. They receive only what they need and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
  • Professional advisers such as our accountant, where needed for tax and bookkeeping.
  • Legal requirements, when we must respond to a subpoena, court order or lawful request, or to protect our rights, our customers or the safety of others.
  • A business transfer, if our business is merged, acquired or sold, subject to the protections in this policy.
06

Payment information

Card payments are processed by a third-party payment provider over an encrypted connection. We do not receive, see or store your full card number, expiry date or security code. The provider handles that data under its own privacy policy and the card industry's security standards.

07

Email and text messages

If you request the free e-book, you are added to the seven-day email sequence and to our general list. Every email contains an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately.

We will still send transactional messages you need, such as a receipt or a replacement download link, because they are part of delivering what you bought.

If you give us a mobile number, we may send order-related text messages. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Mobile numbers and messaging consent are never shared with third parties for their own marketing.

08

Testimonials

If you send us a review, we may publish it on the Website with your name and, where you have given it to us for that purpose, your photograph. We publish reviews as written, apart from minor corrections to spelling.

You can ask us to remove or anonymise your review at any time by emailing us, and we will take it down promptly.

09

How we protect information

We use safeguards appropriate to the information we hold, including encrypted connections across the Website, access controls and multi-factor authentication on the platforms that store customer data, and limiting access to people who need it.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your information, we will notify you as required by law.

10

How long we keep information

We keep purchase records for as long as needed to support your purchase and then for up to seven years, to meet tax and accounting obligations. Email subscribers are kept until they unsubscribe, and unsubscribed addresses are retained only as a suppression record so we do not email you again. Enquiries that do not lead to a purchase are deleted when they are no longer needed.

11

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Ask what personal information we hold about you and receive a copy.
  • Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Ask us to delete your information, subject to records we must keep by law.
  • Opt out of marketing emails at any time.
  • Withdraw consent you previously gave.
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information — we do not sell or share it, so there is nothing to opt out of.
  • Be free from discrimination for exercising any of these rights.

To make a request, email [email protected]. We may ask you to confirm the email address used for your purchase before we act, and we will reply within the time the law allows.

12

Children's privacy

The Website and our books are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly sell to minors. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

13

Third-party websites

The Website links to other sites, including payment and social platforms. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, which we encourage you to read.

14

Visitors outside the United States

We are based in the United States, and the information we collect is stored and processed there. If you use the Website from another country, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from your own.

15

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date shows the current version. If we make a material change to how we use your information, we will say so on this page and, where appropriate, by email.
